Every item below was found at the publication that printed it, not in a press kit — and each one says whether it is a report, a column, or a release, because those are not the same kind of evidence.
Joseph Tek Choon Yee — former president of the Malaysian Estate Owners’ Association — devoted two pieces to the AI estate-mill frontier and put the Minsawi numbers in the first of them. Every figure this site publishes about Minsawi comes from there. The Edge’s own page titles begin with the word “Opinion”, and so does the label above it: a signed column by a well-placed author is strong evidence and still not reportage, and the difference is the reader’s to weigh, not ours to blur.

The Incorporated Society of Planters reports that after its International Palm Oil Millers Conference, a post-conference tour went to Minsawi Industries, hosted by AIREI’s founder. Not journalism — a professional body recording its own event.
Winding up in the Dewan Rakyat, the Minister returned to the Kuala Kangsar mill he had opened and told the House what it had done since. Three newsrooms filed it that day. Neither the mill nor AIREI is named in those reports — the identification rests on his own reference to the launch he performed.

The Star ran a second piece the next morning; Asia News Network syndicated it across the region; Nanyang Siang Pau carried it in Chinese; and a fortnight later the international trade title OFI Magazine picked it up. Asia Palm Oil Magazine also ran an item that week — every quote in it from AIREI or Minsawi, nothing from the Minister’s press conference, which is what a release reads like.

2023 – 2024
Asia Palm Oil Magazine wrote about MyPalm a year before the mill opened, and interviewed AIREI’s founder in its Jan–March 2024 issue. Magazine features, not filed reports: the subject supplies the answers. In the same period AIREI appears in the SME100 Awards register for 2023 — the awarding body’s own entry, which is what makes that recognition checkable rather than merely stated.

On the day the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council launched MSPO Trace, the wire report closed with the line that the system “was developed by Airei Sdn Bhd”. That sentence is why this page can say AIREI built it and not merely that AIREI says so. The catch is honest and worth stating: the only copy recovered is the one AIREI reproduces in its own newsroom, signed off “— BERNAMA”. No copy at the agency and none in the Internet Archive, so there is no link to give you. The national eMSPO contract that came later is held by another vendor.

Where a publisher refuses an automated request the link goes to the Internet Archive capture the check actually read, and the row says so. One 2019 item carries no link at all: the original was never recovered, so there is nothing to link, and a plausible URL would be a fabrication.
