MSPO Trace, and who built it

When the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC) launched MSPO Trace on 18 November 2019, the Bernama wire report noted the system “was developed by Airei Sdn Bhd.” The council’s CEO wrote to thank AIREI for completing the platform the following year.

When the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC) launched MSPO Trace, the national certification platform for Malaysian palm oil, the Bernama wire report closed with the line that the system “was developed by Airei Sdn Bhd.”

The council’s own thank-you

On 6 October 2020, MPOCC’s Chief Executive Officer, Chew Jit Seng, wrote to AIREI to thank the team for completing the MSPO Trace IT Platform:

“MPOCC would like to thank you and your team for the successful completion of the MSPO Trace IT Platform which includes the Certification Modules as the information database, and the Traceability Module which manages the traceability system of MSPO certified material.”

— Chew Jit Seng, Chief Executive Officer, Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council, 6 October 2020.

“The duration and speed taken by AIREI to complete this project is commendable, and we appreciate the professionalism reflected by your team to meet the deadlines.”

— Chew Jit Seng, Chief Executive Officer, Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council.

This is the origin of AIREI’s traceability product: the platform behind Malaysia’s national palm oil certification scheme. The Traceability page has what that system does today.
