Three organisations
put it in writing.

All three are customers. Each letter is a scan of the signed original, reproduced whole and unretouched — the letterhead, the body, the ink.

A certification council’s chief executive. A mill group’s general manager. A mill manager, with his group’s digital lead. Two are appreciation letters. One is headed Testimonial Letter. None of them was written as an advertisement, and under each one we have set out what it covers.

01 · Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council

The council that certifies
Malaysian palm oil.

MSPO Trace is the platform behind Malaysia’s national palm oil certification scheme. On 6 October 2020 the council’s chief executive wrote to thank AIREI for finishing it.

Chew Jit Seng, Chief Executive Officer, Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council — 6 October 2020

“MPOCC would like to thank you and your team for the successful completion of the MSPO Trace IT Platform which includes the Certification Modules as the information database, and the Traceability Module which manages the traceability system of MSPO certified material.”

“The duration and speed taken by AIREI to complete this project is commendable, and we appreciate the professionalism reflected by your team to meet the deadlines”.

What it covers

Covers
The completed MSPO Trace IT Platform — the Certification Modules as the information database, and the Traceability Module that manages certified material.

The same letter records a second engagement. “You are currently developing the SPOC’s Verification Module for Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) to be merged in to the MSPO Trace”. That was the position on 6 October 2020.

A one-page letter on Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council letterhead, the MSPO and MPOCC marks at the top left and a Shah Alam address, telephone, fax and company number at the right. It is dated 6 October 2020 and addressed to The Management, AIREI Sdn Bhd, Radius Business Park, Cyberjaya. It is headed Appreciation Letter for the Completion of MSPO Trace IT Platform, runs to three paragraphs and a line reading Thank you, and closes Yours sincerely above an ink signature and the name Chew Jit Seng, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Malaysia Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC). A green device at the foot reads certifying Malaysian palm oil for the world.

What this changes for a buyer: the traceability product comes from the team the national council asked to build its traceability module. The traceability page says what that system actually does.

02 · Sime Darby Plantation Berhad

Three months, one mill,
and a signature from each side.

MyPalm ran a proof of concept at Kempas Palm Oil Mill, 1 October to 31 December 2021. The mill manager who ran it and the group digital analyst both signed the closing letter.

“MyPalm is proven in improving staff productivity and simplifying tedious work procedures without interfering with the current practices in the mill.”

“MyPalm seems to be a good solution for Sime Darby’s palm oil mills.” Their opening line.

Also theirs. “The Maintenance Module is very easy to use compared to the existing system”. And: “users can access all the useful records via mobile phone. This really helps the mill in eliminating paper usage for documentation.”

03 · IOI Edible Oils Sdn Bhd

The same man, on camera
and in ink.

Ir. Shyam Lakshmanan speaks about MyPalm in AIREI’s brand film. Two months before that quote was recorded, he signed this. It is headed Testimonial Letter, and it is about the tailored MyPalm built for IOI’s Kernel Crushing Plant.

How to read them

Written down,
and signed.

A customer writing something down is the strongest reference there is. Each letter says what it says, on the day it was signed.

Two record finished work — a national platform, and a three-month trial. One records a build partway through.

Every quote above is set exactly as the letter has it.

The wider list

Three signed letters.
Sixteen names on the wall.

Sixteen client marks run across the home page. Three of them wrote these letters.
